ROLE & PURPOSE:
The Control Systems Specialist will be responsible for the effective operation of all the control functions within Asset Management (AM) Technology along with the maintenance of all software and hardware connected with such control systems. This is a hands-on role where you will interact regularly with a variety of stakeholders such as internal colleagues, suppliers, partners and managers to ensure our systems are working safely and efficiently for business end users.
Key Qualities:
Essential:
- Qualification in Electrical, Control Systems and/or Instrumentation, with relevant experience in the power or process industries.
- Experience managing contractors and/or maintenance activities, preferably in an energy, process or Renewables environment.
- Demonstrable experience in problem solving/fault identification, diagnostics, interrogation, and calibration of field devices.
Desirable:
Experience in: Governor systems, Renewable Technology Control Systems.
- Experience fault finding on electrical equipment and instrumentation, preferably within a power generation environment.
- Experience of Failsafe technology PLC’s, OPC protocols, fieldbus, DCS and/or control theory.
- Experience in Software such as Asset Management / Maintenance Management / Data acquisition and visualization tools.
- Experience of ISO 27001, NIST
- Current driving license and access to a car for site visits (Specifically AM Technology role)
