Dementia Day Care Manager

PE Global Healthcare are delighted to assist their client, a leading dementia specific service provider in Limerick to recruit for a Day Care Manager for their service.

The service works across the country in the heart of local communities providing dementia specific services and advocating for the rights of people affected by dementia to quality supports and services. 

This is a hands on day care manager role where the post holder will be working and supporting people living with dementia while they attend the day care centre. This role will suit a person who is experienced with and has a gra for people who live with dementia. As a day care centre, it is not HIQA led and there are no HIQA inspections. This is a fully supported role, with a team of carers onsite, an administrator onsite, a finance dept, training and development dept and HR and payroll dept. the ideal candidate for this post will have strong people management skills to manage the staff and strong ability to connect with and support people living with dementia.

This is a permanent contract working 37.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday).

To be successful in this role you will need:

• experience in caring for the person with dementia.
• You will be required to have experience in Human Resource Management, Financial management, Quality standards and risk management.
• You will need good communication skills, be open and enthusiastic, have a positive attitude, lead by example, make staff feel valued, and be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
• A Nursing Degree and registration with NMBI is desirable.
• Salary will be commensurate with the care sector, and dependent on relevant experience.
