PE Global Healthcare are now recruiting a Director of Nursing, Care of the Elderly in Galway

     

Roles       

  • Be integrally involved in the development of the organisation from a clinical, care and people perspective.
  • Have a significant role in confirming the organisation as an integral part of the community
  • Manage and lead the delivery of resident care that exceeds required minimum standards and legislative requirements
  • Enhance the person-centred approach to resident care, which is driven by a respect for the rights of older people and are focused on quality of life measures meaningful to individual residents.
  • Lead and manage an enthusiastic team to work to their full potential.
  • Work with the Director of Care, Quality and Standards, the Clinical Operations Manager and Director of Nursing colleagues in the group to develop policies, programmes and evidence-based practice consistent with standards (HIQA) and seeking at all times to deliver best practice in residential care.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience of Nursing Management in Care of the elderly within the last 6 years.
  • Post registration qualification in Healthcare management is essential
  • Currently registered with NMBI
  • Proven track record of clinical, leadership and people skills
  • Thorough knowledge of HIQA standards, regulations and the ‘HEALTH ACT 2007 (as amended)’
  • Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
  • Proven track record in decision making ability
  • Qualification in Gerontology and/or Dementia is desirable
