PE Global are currently recruiting for a ELV Engineer for a contractor developing state of the art data centres across Europe.

The client specialises in providing turnkey data centre solutions, providing services from design, through to construction across the full range of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical services as well as commissioning.

We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking a talented and experienced ELV engineer to join our team in Sweden

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the design and commissioning of critical infrastructure systems (BAS and other ELV packages).
    • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines and ensure alignment with the design and applicable standards.
    • Plan and lead design & engineering workshops with in house and external parties (Consultant, vendors, subcontractors, etc .) to resolve any issues and ensure progressed ahead of site activities.
    • Manage the Technical submittal (TS) process ensuring the design is adhered to and coordinated with other systems & equipment.
  • Manage the design query process, contribute to workshops on RFI’s and technical submissions with the Consultant and Client Team to ensure timely resolution of queries raised with any changes to be raised to change management.
    • Report design & engineering progress in weekly client meetings highlighting any concerns/risks to the project.
  • Support the site teams on technical challenges & queries.
  • Manage contractors as built drawing and model ensuring timely submissions as per the project requirements and planned handover.
  • Ensure contractors are submitting all required documentation, O&M manuals and uploading to the approved client platforms
  • Management of Site Safety in conjunction with the Project Manager and the internal Engineering & Contracting Safety Advisor. This will include the setup, management of and closing out of the safety file as part of the Management team.
  • Drive a focused Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental culture within your team.
  • Management of Project Schedule in conjunction with internal Engineering & Contracting Project manager, consulting Engineer and Client requirements
  • Attendance at daily Whiteboard meetings & DABS
  • Lead subcontractor weekly planning and progress meetings
  • Management of sub-contractor activities including tracking progress against schedule and manpower levels.
  • Attendance at Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Co-ordination Meetings and Handover Meetings
  • Issue weekly reports. This will include engineering submissions and status, procurement/delivery status and lookahead, labour levels, risks, issues (and their mitigation strategies/options).
  • Inspection and sign off of delivered materials to ensure they are as expected.
  • Attendance at “First Of Kind” inspections to ensure technical compliance and establish project benchmarks.
  • Schedule and lead quality inspections of the works (Red/Yellow/Green Tag and all associated scripts on the Commissioning Software)
  • Drive compliance and rectification of any issues on internal and client quality systems for formal sign-off of issues (snags, RCA, NCR, etc.)
  • Maintain a daily diary
  • All other duties associated with the role.

 

Requirements:

  • Strong technical expertise in building automation, energy management, and control system technologies, with proficiency in system design, integration, and troubleshooting.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing projects to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and build relationships.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety
