EMC Simulation Engineer

Key Responsibilities:


  • Simulation of electronic components and modules with a focus on electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
  • Execution and tracking of high frequency circuit simulations of EMC relevant PCB
  • Performance of 3D FEM simulations for parameter determination for all parasitic elements, identification of coupling paths and electromagnetic mechanisms
  • Confirmation of compliance to EMC-limits according to applicable EMC standards
  • Propose solutions to optimize designs and address problems
  • Validate measurements and provide support to EMC technicians during the measurement and testing process
  • Request tests to confirm simulated model results
  • Present and discuss simulation results with responsible design- and EMC[1]engineers
  • Further basic development of optimized EMC simulation methods and processes for internal use


Education & Experience:


  • Masters Engineering degree in Electrical / Electronic / Mechatronic / Physics or comparable degrees
  • 10 plus years of experience in Automotive Electronic or e-Mobility Engineering
  • 3 years of experience in leading functional teams, managing customers and planning for complex products
  • Knowledge of relevant EMC standards, standing orders and legal requirements
  • Knowledge in the field of theoretical electrical engineering and electrodynamics
  • Capable to apply relevant simulation tools and methods
  • Work in a diversified team, where strong cross-team and cross-domain communication skills are key
  • Fluency in English and German is required
