Enhanced Staff Nurse Anaesthetics

PE Global together with our Healthcare client are looking for a Enhanced Staff Nurse Anaesthetics, for a full time permanent role based in Dublin 2.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilising assessment skills and techniques to determine patient needs on admission.
- Documenting nursing admission assessment thoroughly and accurately.
- Clearly identify patient problems for which nursing care will be given.
- Develop and document a care plan based on patient needs and best practice.
- Develop appropriate and individualised patient education and discharge planning and utilise available ward resources for same.
- Collaborate with other health care team members within the defined clinical area in accordance with the patient care plan.
- Develop discharge criteria from time of admission.
- Provide safe, comprehensive nursing based on current standards and research, perform procedures according to established policy and procedures.
- Provide care with minimal supervision in a timely accurate and safe manner.
- Advocate as necessary for the patients, respecting their dignity and confidentiality
- Function effectively in an emergency situation.
- Know and practice within legal requirements including those set down by NMBI.
- Taking responsibility for own competency and learning and development needs and actively contribute to the learning and development of the wider nursing and primary care team.
- Co-operating with the introduction of ICT systems, utilise and analyse the data and adopting the use of new systems in line with policies and procedures.
- Working closely with colleagues across the hospital in order to provide a seamless service delivery to the patients.
- Evidence of participation in audit and evaluation of care provision including collection of quality care metrics where same are in place.
Qualifications
- Registered in the general division of NMBI
- Experience in Anaesthetics is essential
- Evidence of personal professional development
- Ongoing skills training – relevant to care required for patient case load
