We are urgently seeking an Injection Moulding Technician to ensure the continuous running of the machines optimising cycle time & quality of finished products.
Core Duties:
Basic machine maintenance and trouble shooting including start-up and shutdown of injection moulding machines.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues whilst following procedures in a timely manner. Reporting of issues as they arise and works carried out. Assist with tool changes when required.
To ensure injection moulding processes can achieve targeted efficiency levels, on new and existing products.
To drive continuous improvements ensuring product quality is maintained & good working practices are adhered to.
To liaise with all members of the department to ensure operations run smoothly and work within the technical team to achieve OEE targets and KPI’s
Ensure quality of production parts meets quality standards requirements. Validation of the settings to the approved standard.
Perform line clearances and associated paperwork in line with procedures.
Ensure all machine and process adjustments are recorded and validated. Adhere to housekeeping practices
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
1 to 3 years’ experience in injection moulding environment
Experience of SMED and 5S systems would be an advantage
Ideally having experience of working with thin walled moulding and IML moulding is desirable
Qualification in Polymer engineering or equivalent
Key Competencies:
Good organizational skills.
Proactive and show initiative in taking on and completing injection moulding projects.
Must possess good verbal and written communication skills
Good problem solving abilities – able to identify faults and evaluate the appropriate actions.
