PE Global Recruitment are currently recruiting for experienced IT Project Managers to join our client, a Public Sector entity based in Dublin. The roles will start on an initial 12-month contract with a view to permanency. Excellent salary and pension contribution on offer for eligible candidates.
The Role:
The primary role of the ICT Senior Project Manager is to play the lead role in planning, budgeting, executing, monitoring, and closing ICT projects for the client. The Senior Project Manager is accountable for end-to-end delivery of the project ensuring business objectives and outcomes are achieved
Key Responsibilities of this role:
- You will be responsible for leading, managing and coordinating the delivery of a broad range of projects within the ICT function while partnering with the business to ensure that business benefits are realized
- You will ensure that the projects are delivered on-time, to budget and to agreed quality standards.
- Responsible for project tracking, monitoring, control, and success from concept to delivery into the production environment.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Develop / Manage a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
- Track and report on project performance including scope, budget, and schedule
- Ensure resource availability and allocation
- Manage the project budget reporting actuals vs forecasts monthly
- Highlight budget performance plus variances at weekly status updates and to project sponsors
- Establish project governance setup at project initiation
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation per the ICT PMO standardized process
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
- Perform risk management to ensure risks are documented and stakeholders are informed
- Strong ability to work at a detailed level whilst being able to extract the appropriate level of information for senior management consumption
Key Requirements:
- A minimum of 10 years project management experience delivering IT projects through the entire project lifecycle
- Project Management Qualifications e.g. Prince2 or PMI
- Proven experience delivering IT Technical projects in a complex environment
- Budgetary management experience in excess of €5m
- Knowledge of managing through a stage gate process
