PE Global is recruiting for a Laboratory IT Specialist on behalf of our pharmaceutical client in County Sligo. This is an initial 12-month contract fully onsite role.

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all necessary technical support and administration is provided for all IT / BTS plant systems. This person will provide end-to-end technical solution support and ensure high availability of IT services for Manufacturing, Lab and supporting functions & areas throughout the site.

A snapshot of your key responsibilities as a Laboratory IT Specialist would be:

Comply with BTS Road map
Support of manufacturing and laboratory systems including maintenance and backups.
Lead IT manufacturing systems and application projects
Participation in cross functional teams and initiatives across the site
Comply with all corporate policies
Implementation and updating of all IT policies
Validation / Qualification of hardware and software
Liaise with project managers to ensure new product introduction projects meet targets
Liaise with IT Contractors/Consultants and ensure compliance with contractor management site policies
Training of employees on relevant applications
Identify and implement process improvements
Adheres to and supports all EH&S standards and policies

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent relevant discipline required
3 years plus of relevant IT experience essential
A minimum of 1 years’ experience in IT manufacturing system / application support role
Strong organisational and planning skills
Capability to prioritise and multi-task
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
High accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent teamwork skills
Initiative and innovation to generate and implement continuous improvements.
ITIL desirable
GAMP desirable
Working knowledge of POMs, OSI PI and SAP
