PE Global are delighted to have partnered with a leading MEP Contractor based in Munster. They are currently looking to add a Junior/Graduate Electric Engineer to their exceptional team based in Cork.
They are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Junior Electrical Engineer to join their team and contribute to the design, development, and testing of electrical systems.
As a Junior Electrical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced engineers, collaborate on projects, and gain hands-on experience in various aspects of electrical engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of electrical systems, components, and products under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas for improving existing products or creating new solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, CQV engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into larger projects.
- Conduct research and stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to help inform design decisions.
- Assist in the preparation of technical documents, schematics, and diagrams necessary for project documentation and communication.
- Aid in the selection of appropriate components and materials for electrical systems while considering factors such as cost, performance, and reliability.
- Assist in the testing and troubleshooting of prototypes and final products to identify and resolve any electrical issues.
- Participate in design reviews, provide constructive feedback, and incorporate suggestions into design iterations.
- Collaborate with external suppliers and manufacturers to ensure smooth procurement of components and adherence to specifications.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and best practices throughout the design and development process.
- Participate in continuous learning and skill development to enhance your proficiency in electrical engineering.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong foundational knowledge of electrical engineering principles, theories, and concepts.
- Proficiency in using electrical design software, such as CAD.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Basic understanding of analog and digital circuit design.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in order to troubleshoot and debug electrical systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and learn from experienced engineers.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meticulously review designs and documentation.
- Prior internship or project experience in electrical engineering is a plus.
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and contribute to a fast-paced engineering environment.
