The Role

PE Global are recruiting for a Junior HR Specialist for our biopharmaceutical client based in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin. This is a 12-month contract role. Hybrid role (2 days onsite, 3 days remote). 

Job Responsibilities

  • Operationally supports HR strategies
  • Delivers effective HR service which is customer service-focused and business-related
  • Conducts HR programs such as orientation, wellness events, benefit information sessions for employees
  • Manages key local benefit programs, including medical benefits, risk benefits and share purchase plan scheme for site. Develops additional site programs including cycle to work scheme and commuter scheme.
  • Manages day-to-day relationship with external suppliers/vendors including benefit providers
  • Creation and management of purchase orders
  • Facilitates the on-boarding and induction program for new hires and presents the HR module of this program.
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with local labour laws: monitors local regulations, issues and reviews all employment contracts.
  • Manages long term Leave of Absence cases
  • Is the Superuser on site for Workday
  • Manages and maintains all other local HR application tools including Softworks Time & Attendance and Visier reporting
  • Implements and ensures a clear, shared understanding of HR procedures/policies
  • Maintains quarterly HR metrics dashboard for local management and business review meetings
  • Co-ordination of purchase orders and invoices for HR dept to ensure accurate and timely payment to vendors.
  • Support day to day HR admin – salary certs/reference letters/ social welfare letters.
  • Owner of the HR website; responsible for updating when necessary.
  • Fixed term contract, internal secondment, and promotion management
  • Contract generation and onboarding of new hires

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent
  • 4+ years’ experience within a HR capacity
  • Proficient in the use of relevant computer software and HR systems (Excel/word/ /PowerPoint/Workday)
  • Pharmaceutical experience is preferred but not a requirement
  • Multinational company experience in a matrixed environment
