Junior Transport Planner

Working Hours :

8:00—17:00 ( 40 hours per week )

Salary : €28,00 per year

1hr unpaid break

Monday – Friday ( No Bank Holidays & No weekends )

Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize transport plans to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
• Monitor and track the progress of shipments, ensuring compliance with delivery schedules.
• Maintain accurate records of transport activities and prepare regular reports.
• Liaise with transport providers to negotiate rates and service agreements.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
• Respond to and resolve any transport-related issues or delays.
• Collaborate with the logistics team to forecast transport needs and plan accordingly.
• Implement and utilize transport management software to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in IT systems (Outlook, Excel etc)  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong Geographical knowledge of Cork County.
