PE Global Recruitment are delighted to have partnered with a leading Water Technologies organisation based in Ireland to recruit a Laboratory Service Technician to join the team.  This is a full time, permanent position based in Limerick. 


  • Deliver a comprehensive range of on-site services to customers, encompassing commissioning, fault diagnosis, maintenance, repair, calibration, and validation of all Laboratory & Healthcare Equipment and Applications within the Business Portfolio.
  • Ensure that all Laboratory & Healthcare equipment and products are left in a secure condition for customer use, consistently striving for “Service Excellence” to guarantee customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain meticulous records and pertinent paperwork related to client installations and completed work. Generate Service Reports for customer endorsement and promptly complete all necessary Company documentation.
  • Adhere strictly to safety and health regulations, along with all Company Policies and Procedures, emphasizing compliance with ISO Quality Procedures, such as Work Instructions and Method Statements that include Risk Assessments.
  • Follow site rules and participate in site inductions as required. Carry and manage an updated stock of spare parts and consumables in the Company vehicle, ensuring their good condition.
  • Identify revenue opportunities on site, keeping the Company informed of new developments. Collaborate proactively with the Service Operations Manager to enhance the Service Department’s success by communicating customer feedback, sales, and training opportunities to the Service Team Lead/Operations Managers.
  • Embrace and comply with Departmental changes aimed at improving the Service Department’s operations. Provide telephone support and participate in the On-call rotation as needed. Review technical documentation and accurately compose technical reports in English.
  • Attend training courses as required, acquiring a proficient understanding of the Company’s Equipment and Applications. Present a professional image for the Company on-site, consistently wearing Company-branded clothing and supplied personal protective equipment.
  • Be willing to work additional hours when necessary, and occasionally engage in overseas travel.


Electrical Qualification is desirable

Skills and Experience:

2-3 years’ experience working in a similar role.
Experience working as a Field Service Engineer.
Have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical customers.
Have experience or willingness to writing reports.
An awareness of the potential risks to health and safety on all clients’ properties.
Experience working in the Pharmaceutical industry (desirable).
