Role:

 

PE Global are looking for a Maintenance Technician/Craftsman (Elec & Mech) to work for a leading Animal Health Pharmaceutical Company based in Berkshire. This is a extendable contract role with likelihood to convert to perm. This position involves a degree of overtime and out of hours working.

 

Key Responsibilities

This position is a ‘hands on’ role, working within the production maintenance group and reporting to the engineering supervisor. Day to day duties will include servicing, maintenance and repair of the following items of plant and equipment:

  • Autoclaves
  • Filling & packaging equipment
  • Pressure vessels
  • Steam & hydraulic piping systems
  • Pumps motors and gearboxes
  • Heating ventilation & air conditioning
  • Refrigeration plant
  • Actuated valves
  • Electrical control & Switchgear
  • Electro-pneumatic controls
  • AC & DC machines

 

In addition, the position will involve:

  • Electrical fault-finding and repairs.
  • Mechanical fault-finding and repairs.
  • Participation in a standby rota and reaction to breakdown call-outs.

 

Required Experience

 

  • City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent NVQ
  • Indentured or equivalent electrical apprenticeship
  • JIB approved electrician
  • A sound knowledge and understanding of the Institute of Electrical Engineers current regulations for electrical installations.
  • An understanding & practical experience of working within a production orientated environment
  • The ability to work both individually and as a member of a team
  • The willingness to participate in a shift system
  • The willingness to participate in weekend and out of normal working hours overtime
