PE Global recruitment are currently working with a growing construction organisation based in Galway to recruit a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join the team. This is a full time, permanent role.
Managing Quantity Surveyor (Galway)
This organisation are currently recruiting for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join the team looking after all commercial aspects of the quantity surveying department. The successful candidate will be a valuable part of the business, leading the way commercially and having full accountability for their projects including both pre and post-contract commercial functions and contract reporting.

Responsibilities of the role include;
- Contribute to achieving the optimum commercial result through the provision of accurate financial reporting.
- Providing guidance and support to junior team members.
- Manage Subcontract Packages, overseeing payments to subcontractors, suppliers and consulting along with normal QS duties.
- Prepare the cost / value reconciliation reports accurately.
- Managing standard construction contract forms, including variations and final account agreements
- Supervising and managing the accurate and timely project delivery reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor.
- Ensure subcontract orders are prepared in accordance with company procedures.
- Attending meetings with the Client, design teams, subcontractors and specialist subcontractors
Qualifications, skills and experience;
- Quantity Surveying Degree or similar with 5+ years’ post-graduate experience.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Significant experience in main contracting market.
- Experience managing subcontract accounts.
- Experience working with PWC form of contract.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail, able to gather, interpret, and present data to facilitate the preparation of budgets and subsequent valuations.
- Proficient in Excel and Cubit.
- Methodical, conscientious and organized, works to deliver high standards.
