PE Global is currently hiring a Operational Finance Analyst for our client based in East Cork. This is a permanent role.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Foster a strong business partner relationship with Supply Chain, Procurement and Logistics functions and with sub-functions within the Finance organization
  • Prepare monthly forecast reports for manufacturing variances linked with 3rd party warehouse transactions, monitor financial performance, understand and explain root causes of variances versus budget, prior forecast and prior year
  • Support monthly close activities: Purchase Price Variance analysis, inventory reserve provisions, freight allocation/accruals, duty accruals reconciliation and consolidation of manufacturing variances for the 2 principal entities in Denmark and Switzerland
  • Secure that master data is correct and collaborate with Procurement to review and validate raw material purchase prices as the basis for high quality standard costs
  • In cooperation with Supply Chain teams, facilitate accurate inventory records for obsolescete and slow-moving stock reserves, validate the quarterly warehouse stock reconciliations against 3rd party quantity reports and provide finance support throughout the yearly annual physical stock counts process
  • Develop SG&A operating budgets for Logistics and Supply Chain
  • Participate in ad hoc OFPA projects in terms of process improvement, work proactively to institutionalize improvements to reduce manual work
  • Follow the internal control book procedures and support SOX and audit compliance

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Economics or other relevant field and/or minimum 5 years of experience in FP&A, product costing or Operations/Supply Chain Finance
  • Financial acumen and experience with the financial reporting cycle, including the development of recurring forecasts, operations cost management and annual budgets
  • Standard costing experience preferred
  • ERP System experience preferred (SAP S4)
  • Ability to build effective business relationships and be a team player
  • Strong analytical skills with aptitude to ask challenging questions with demonstration of root cause investigation
  • Ability to operate effectively in a remote organization and agility to adapt to change
  • Take ownership to act and drive progress with continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong communication and presentations skills
  • Be hands-on and pro-active to deliver on commitments in an ethical way
  • Be able to provide in-depth explanation of results, synthesize data to identify key business drivers, assess the quality of inputs and generate insightful outputs
