PE Global is currently recruiting for an Operational Finance Analyst for a leading multi-national client based in East Cork. This is a permanent role.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Role:
- Foster a strong business partner relationship with Supply Chain, Procurement and Logistics functions and with sub-functions within the Finance organization
- Prepare monthly forecast reports for manufacturing variances linked with 3rd party warehouse transactions, monitor financial performance, understand, and explain root causes of variances versus budget, prior forecasts and prior year
- Secure that master data is correct and collaborate with Procurement to review and validate raw material purchase prices as the basis for high quality standard costs
- Develop SG&A operating budgets for Logistics and Supply Chain
- Support monthly close activities in partnership with RTR: warehouse variance analysis, inventory reserve provisions, freight and duty costs allocation/accruals and consolidation of manufacturing variances
- In cooperation with SC teams, facilitate accurate inventory records for obsolescence and slow-moving stock reserves, including preparation of monthly account reconciliations, support in quarterly warehouse stock reconciliations against 3rd party quantity reports and yearly annual physical stock counts
- Participate in ad hoc OFPA projects in terms of process improvement, work proactively to institutionalize improvements
- Follow the internal control book procedures and support SOX and audit compliance
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in Finance, Accounting or other relevant field
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, product costing and/or Operations/Supply Chain Finance
- Strong analytics skills and financial acumen. Being able to provide in[1]depth explanation of results, synthesize data to identify key business drivers and assess the quality of inputs, generate insightful outputs
- Experience with the financial reporting cycle including development of annual business plan / budget, financial projections / recurring forecasts and operations cost management required
- Standard costing experience (preferred)
- ERP System experience required (We are using SAP S4)
- Ability to build effective business relationships, and interact and
- communicate effectively
- Strong analytical skills with aptitude to ask challenging questions and get to the underlying issues
- Strong English written and oral presentations skills
- Ability to work in a matrix organization and adapt to change as needed
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel)
