The role

Payroll/Accounts Administrator required on a permanent basis for an SME client based in East Cork

Responsibilities

  • Month end payroll activities-preparing journals, accruals and Balance Sheet reconciliations. 
  • Ensure that monthly and yearly local tax payments and compliance requirements are met. 
  • Liaise with contract workers regarding payments and timesheets
  • Provides timely and accurate reporting to internal and external agencies, e.g. Inland Revenue, etc. 
  • Prepare employee and payroll tax payments. 
  • Create and maintain control documentation, process flows and procedures. 
  • Ensure a consistent focus and involvement in driving efficiencies and process improvements 
  • Manage the Payroll mailbox ensuring mails are answered in a timely manner and filed appropriately. 
  • Cover for other team members as directed by manager
  • Ad hoc duties as directed by manager

 

Education

  • Recognised Accounting Qualification essential for this role i.e IPASS
  • At least 1- 2 years’ experience working in a similar role
  • Working knowledge of Sage Line 50 essential for this role
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise work
  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
