PE Global are currently seeking a motivated, hard working and committed Production Planner and Stock Controller to join our client, a busy bakery based in Cork.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the daily and weekly production plans to satisfy customer demands
- Create employee production schedule rosters in line with production demands
- Using data analysis and decision making to support raw material supply versus finished goods demand and ensuring that potential conflicts are highlighted to the Production Manager
- Become the point of contact for bakery Supervisors and General Operators on all production related queries
- Maintain close links with the sales team to ensure strong two-way communication on capacity, lead times or service issues that may affect the supply to our customers
- Maintain strong information sharing with all other departments to support their functions
- Create strong relationships within the company
- Manage employee leave with the HR Department to ensure production is not negatively impacted
- Update Production Reports and communicate same to all necessary departments
- Efficient problem solving on the factory floor and make suggested improvements
- Ability to cover for other production department employees during leave
- Carry out a range of manual tasks and activities to ensure responsibilities are completed within permitted time frames.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years experience working in a food manufacturing environment
- Proven track record in production planning and logistics gained in a similar environment
- Strong knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Packages
- Willing to work Days/Nights or Weekends depending on business needs
- Experience in problem solving in a fast paced environment
- Be able to demonstrate how you developed strong working relationships
