Immediate vacancy for experience Quality Control Technician for role focused on Health & Safety successful candidate will be primarily be responsible for performing standardized quality control checks on company products to ensure they meet the required legal and company standards for safety and quality.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Inspecting goods or products according to quality and safety standards.
  • Identifying possible areas for improvement in quality control processes.
  • Reporting quality anomalies
  • Initiate corrective actions to have final products with required specifications.
  • Support QHSE Lead to train associates on safety program to protect employees against harm.
  • Mentor and guide staff to maintain clean and safe working conditions.
  • Update and maintain all documentation for auditing purposes (BRC / ISO9001 / ISO14001).
  • Conduct internal audits and project assignments in timely, safe and professional manner.
  • Report results and issues and roadblocks to QHSE Lead.
  • Comply with established quality, safety, and environmental procedures and policies.
  • Interact regularly with management, production and outside agencies in all plant operations.
  • Ensure all incidents of non-conformance are recorded.
  • Undertake special projects as required. 
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities.
  • Quality control of work by appropriate reviews
  • Support and participate in process improvement activities.
  • Be aware and work to achieve the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions.
  • Undertake continuous training and development.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and resolving problems.
  • Records data and compiles it into statistical analyses and reports.
  • Orders material and supplies.
  • Performs additional functions incidental to health and safety activities.
  • Completing H&S training and maintaining training database.

Requirements:

  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
  • The ability to prioritise your workload and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of BRC, ISO9001 and ISO14001 Standards.
  • Previous Quality experience is essential.
  • Previous Health and Safety experience beneficial but not essential as on the job training will be provided.
