PE Global is currently recruiting for a Reliability Engineer for a leading biopharmaceutical client based in Mayo.
This is an initial 12-month contract position.
Purpose:
The reliability engineer will champion continuous improvement to reduce the levels of risk to the business for both equipment and utility related issues on site and ensure engineering compliance with requirements. Support the maintenance excellence program by targeting critical equipment assets for optimization and continuous improvement.
- Support the engineers with the next level of MEP to fully integrate MEP into the culture.
- Implement programs and procedures required to ensure equipment maintenance is performed in a compliant manner.
- Monitor the operation of equipment and systems.
- Track, analyse and improve key Maintenance Excellence Program (MEP) key performance indicators (KPI’s) parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, site maintenance compliance, schedule etc.
- Apply knowledge in methods and processes to prevent, or reduce, the likelihood or frequency of failures in site systems.
- Determine the use of predictive maintenance technologies.
- Conduct root cause failure analysis (RCFA) Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM) Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA),Fault tree analysis (FTA), PM optimisation.
- Train employees on reliability processes, trains supervision on the impact that the operators and technicians have on reliability.
- Reviews completed work orders, assists planners with reliability concerns, promotes preventive maintenance as ongoing experiments and champions the technicians through continuous education.
- Analyse failure history to determine the reliability characteristics of systems, and from this analysis develop long term solutions to re-occurring issues.
- Review maintenance and installation plans for new equipment, provide reliability and maintainability specifications for new procurements. Is involved in developing support plans for new equipment.
- Perform internal audits on engineering systems, support external audits.
- Ensure adherence to company safety standards, policies and procedures.
- Proficient in the use of Computer Management Maintenance system (Maximo).
- Manage the Engineering Change Control process to ensure there are no non-conformances relating to engineering change control.
Qualifications:
- A third level qualification in Engineering or a relevant discipline.
Or
- Trade qualification plus six years plus engineering experience
- 3rd level qualification must be coupled with 3 years relevant work experience.
- Strong IT Skills are required for this position.
