Resident Engineer – Dublin

PE Global is currently recruiting for a Resident Engineer for a state utilities provider based in Dublin.

This is an initial 6-month contract position.

ROLE:

Demonstrate commitment to safety across all sites and embrace safety culture.
Review of Contractor’s risk assessments and method statements.
Undertake regular safety audits and liaise with Contractor and site Safety Management to ensure the Contractor undertakes his safety responsibilities in accordance with safety legislation, construction regulations and EMP safety specifications.
Undertake regular environmental compliance audits. Liaise with Contractor and EMP environmental management to ensure Contractor manages environmental risk and is undertaking duties in compliance with environmental standards, legislation and EMP environmental specifications.
The RE shall be responsible for quality supervision on site.
Coordinate with the Designers to review the Contractor’s Quality Assurance documentation and Quality Plans.
Inspect workmanship for compliance with specification and standards and continually liaise with the Designer and Project Manager (PM) regarding the quality of works on site.
Discharge contractual duties as delegated by the Engineer under the applicable Conditions of Contract Recording key information on a daily basis for record purposes.
Liaise with EMP Project Manager, Engineers, Supervisors, Quantity Surveyors etc. as required to assist in the management of the project.

REQUIREMENTS:

A Full driving licence and own transport is essential for this role.

Strong communication skills with a flexible approach to work.
