The Role

PE Global are recruiting for a Sales Development Team Lead for our cloud data services client based in Cork CC. This is a permanent role. Initial onsite training for 8 weeks and then role will follow a hybrid approach.

Jon Responsibilities

  • As a Team Leader in our Inside Sales Development team, you will play a dual role in supporting the team for operational issues while playing a key role in following up on- and nurturing contacts until they are ready to engage with our sales team.
  • Work closely together with all the sales teams, channel and marketing organization.
  • You will get to have a 360º interaction with all parties. You are excited to learn as much as possible about the product portfolio, acquiring technical knowledge to be able to drive a consultant approach conversation with prospects.
  • Support the team in operational issues and challenges including system access, training new employees, being first point of contact for clients.
  • Prospecting by making a large amount of phone calls, both from NetApp’s existing database and cold to capture sales
  • Understanding prospects’ needs and qualifying them
  • Making use of various social media channels and search for the right targets
  • Developing a solid understanding of our data management solutions
  • Communicating our value proposition in a pitch to potential customers
  • Following up on marketing-, channel- and sales campaigns (demand gen, webinars, seminars, trade shows, etc.)
  • Building account maps and driving campaigns together with marketing, channel and sales in these accounts
  • Monitoring sales follow-up and progress from prospects to opportunities
  • Creating new business by searching for key prospects on various social media channels, and then creating a dialogue with these prospects both on- and offline.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor degree in Business / Sales / Management
  • Three years’ experience in tech sales required.
  • Prior experience in a leadership or team leader capacity preferred.
  • Second language preferred.
  • Experience which demonstrates a strong level of expertise in technical specifications required to sell the cloud data products and services.
  • Excellent IT skills e.g., MS Office Suite, CRM Systems exp – SAP, Oracle, etc. 
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral.
