SAP Transformation Manager

We are currently assisting our public sector client in recruiting a SAP Transformation Manager. The role will support the Head of SAP Centre of Excellence in all matters related to the SAP CoE transformation programme as it expands to meet future support needs, focusing on delivery of transformation, including processes, people and technology.


The Role:

  • Engage with key stakeholders to agree expanded CoE implementation plan.
  • Work with the Head of SAP CoE Head, the leadership team and key stakeholders to agree the future expanded state of SAP CoE including Structures, Governance and RACI.
  • Work with the SAP CoE leadership team to execute organisational, personnel, and operational changes associated with realising the Future State SAP CoE Model.
  • Define CoE roles and agree a SAP CoE RACI within the context of Global Process Owners.
  • Develop detailed change management plans, communications plans, and people development plans to support the adoption of key SAP CoE projects and delivery services.
  • Prepare status reports, financial reports, and progress dashboards associated with the SAP CoE Transformation programme.
  • Work closely with the IFMS Project Team
    • to design, develop and deliver expanded CoE to incorporate requirements of IFMS programme and new user community
    • to ensure the requirements of the SAP CoE Transformation are included in the requirements of the IFMS programme.
  • Develop a resourcing strategy including recruitment plan, skills gaps audit, education and training plan and retention plan.
  • Work closely with SAP CoE leadership team to enable development of strategies and policies in relation to Location, Quality, Training, Testing, Change delivery and ensure alignment.
  • Agree and be responsible for budget in relation to transformation and continuous improvement.
  • Manage the people side of change across all elements of the programme and existing resources including adoption of standard business processes, procedures, systems and technology.
  • Conduct change impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders.
  • Report on programme status to SAP CoE Leadership team and the the relevant governing bodies of the programme.
  • Ensure appropriate programme governance and governing structures in place, maintained and adhered to.
  • Initiate a Benefits Realisation process, develop a benefits plan and benefits tracker particularly in relation to service improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure that highly effective communication mechanisms and processes are in place to manage, motivate and influence multiple project stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed communication plans in support of key SAP CoE initiatives..
  • Provide knowledge, experience and insight of Irish and international health care and policy systems to look strategically at challenges and issues that may arise.



  • Significant experience of implementing and managing major organisational change in a large complex organisation, as relevant to the role preferably with some experience in a SAP environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant procurement or business discipline
  • Experience leading projects/programmes dedicated to improving services, operations and processes identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Experience of managing and working collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders within a complex working environment, as relevant to the role.
  • Experience in managing and delivering programmes to successful outcomes.
  • Professional Project Management Qualification (PMI courses or disciplines, PMP, PRINCE2, PIMBOK, AGILE etc.) or a commitment to achieve within 6 months of appointment.
  • Previous experience working with SAP Implementation/rollout projects preferable.
  • Excellent Excel and Powerpoint Skills together with a good working knowledge of other MS Office products including Word and Project.
  • Excellent organisational skills
