The Role

PE Global are recruiting for a Senior Accountant for our pharmaceutical client based in Blanchardstown, Dublin. 12-month contract role. Hybrid working options.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ownership of record-to-report month end and quarter end procedures for specified areas of Inventory & COGS.
  • Preparing inputs to month end and quarter end reporting at both the APIO reporting and Consolidated RDU level including the preparation of financial analysis & commentary.
  • Operate within the required SOX controls framework, completing assigned control procedures for the Inventory area.
  • Ownership of the financial process for internal clinical manufacturing, including establishment of related processes and procedures.
  • Working closely with Finance colleagues both locally and globally, determining the appropriate accounting treatments for changes in facts and circumstances, while adhering to global deadlines.
  • Liaison with outsourced provider to ensure accurate and complete performance of month end and quarter end tasks.
  • Review monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and follow up and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
  • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and queries, including recurring requirement for reasonableness of COGS by product.
  • Support with group and local statutory audit requests in addition to tax requirements.
  • Participate in various finance related projects, as required.

Education and Experience

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA etc.
  • Minimum 6 years’ industry/post qualification experience
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills with focus on attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of Microsoft Office Excel proficiency
  • Understanding of US GAAP & IFRS accounting principles
  • Manufacturing Accounting experience desirable.
  • Multinational pharmaceutical experience a plus
