PE Global is currently recruiting Snr Indirect Procurement Specialist for a 12-month contract role with a leading pharma client based in Cramlington.
Responsibilities
- Supplier Relationship Management Maintaining strategic relationships with suppliers to be in
- Line with SSC Category objectives and to enable continuous improvement actions (in supply, quality, and cost aspects)
- Category Management: including, sourcing, supplier selection, negotiations, creating leverage ensuring at a local level the site ns stakeholders gain the benefit in both cost and service
- Implementation of globally cascaded projects (switching to global suppliers, driving SSC category strategy etc.) including right project management to meet project deadlines, alignment with the site, managing supplier transition etc.
- Is responsible for developing and delivering objectives and targets in respective categories incl. annual profit plan / savings forecast, working capital conversion / pull through targets, SME (Small and Medium Enterprises) spend targets, spend concentration %, and contract compliance % targets
- Participates and contributes to respective SSC (Strategic Sourcing Council), proactively flags risks and opportunities to senior management, escalates appropriately
- Is accountable for Buyer Business Plan for respective categories
- Is responsible for continuous procurement process improvement, increasing personal productivity
- Engages, obtains sponsorship, and influences senior level stakeholders / demonstrates procurement value proposition, creates a delivery plan shared jointly with business stakeholders
- Develops end to end risk management strategies and performance management & improvement strategies
- Acts as change agent, demonstrating added value brought by the procurement function. Is a personal example and role model of the ORGANON leadership behaviors
Requirements
- BS in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or other relevant discipline preferred
- Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in commercial, business, operations or other relevant business function.
- A demonstrated capability of operating ‘Lean/Six Sigma’ methodologies would be an advantage.

- Solution focused mind-set
- Experience in SAP / Coupa systems
