We are currently recruiting a Senior Clinical Psychologist for Adult Mental Health Services based at Roscommon University Hospital.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary, recovery-oriented inpatient mental health service, delivering psychological assessment and intervention to adults as part of individualised care plans. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting service users’ recovery journeys while contributing to ongoing service development.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver psychological assessment, formulation, and therapeutic intervention to adult inpatients

• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated recovery-focused care

• Provide supervision and professional support to trainee and staff psychologists where required

• Contribute to clinical audit, research, and service evaluation initiatives

• Offer consultation and training to other healthcare professionals as needed

Essential Requirements

• Recognised qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology

• Eligibility to work within HSE Adult Psychology Services

• Relevant post-qualification experience in mental health or related clinical settings

• Strong case formulation, communication, and teamwork skills

• Commitment to evidence-based practice and recovery-oriented care
