PE Global is recruiting a Senior Risk Management Specialist for a 12-month contract role with a financial services client based in London (Hybrid role).


  • The role will include the further definition of the operational resilience program, establishment of workstreams and ownership across the business and technology teams progressing towards a consolidated framework and ensuring continued alignment to regulatory and best practice in the field of operational resilience.
  • Leadership: Acts as mentor/coach for less experienced peers. Is looking always to gain efficiencies and implements these within own team/discipline. Plans and prioritizes work using resources in the best possible way to complete tasks on time and with high quality.

  • Risk Analysis and Research: Estimates the potential financial consequences of an occurring loss, applying theories and techniques to build analyses. Researches risk management topics and identifies suggested behaviors to minimize risks. Develops controls and cost-effective approaches/recommendations to minimize the organization’s risks.
  • Risk Control: Applies and evaluates risk control theories to create prevention, reduction, enablement, and enhancement tactics. Risk Management Identification and Assessment: Identifies and assesses risk factors to facilitate the development and implementation of approaches for managing risks, adapting approaches to meet the client’s need and creating value.
  • Technical Communication/Presentation: Breaks down complex information (e.g., legal, operational risk, and regulatory data) into understandable terminology and actionable concepts. Creates clear, concise and organized communication materials (e.g., policies & procedures, guidelines, presentations, messages). Considers and understands the audiences specific needs and comprehension level to determine the most appropriate message and delivery method, limiting or explaining technical language.


  • Education required: Degree qualified in a related discipline or equivalent work experience Experience Required: 10 to 12 years
  • Certifications: related certifications in risk management and business continuity preferable.
  • The candidate will have a risk management and/or business continuity background having worked in matrix organisations, globally distributed and across a multiple regulatory jurisdictions.
  • Candidates should be familiar with recent consultation papers, EU legislation DORA and the US RegSCI requirements.
  • Experience running similar programs within a financial services business.
  • Good comprehension of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) frameworks, the implementation and operation of those frameworks and be able to support strategic risk management initiatives with ERM colleagues.
