PE Global are delighted to be working with our client who are Cork’s largest home developer, is seeking a Site Engineer to join their team for an exciting residential housing development project. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with 1-2 years of experience to grow their career with a leading company that is shaping the future of housing in Cork. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality homes, ensuring the project meets all specifications, and adhering to deadlines and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing all on-site engineering activities, ensuring works are carried out according to plans, designs, and specifications.
- Oversee the setting out, levelling, and surveying of the site.
- Liaise with subcontractors, site managers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
- Prepare site reports, progress updates, and keep accurate records of works.
- Monitor material usage and ensure orders are placed in a timely manner to prevent delays.
- Manage and resolve technical issues that may arise on-site.
- Collaborate with design and planning teams to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
- Ensure that the work is delivered to a high standard of quality and completed within the designated timeframe and budget.
- Support senior site management and engineers in the overall coordination of construction activities.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in residential construction or civil engineering.
- Experience with site setting out, levelling, and surveying.
- Good knowledge of construction health and safety regulations.
- Proficient in using engineering software such as AutoCAD, and knowledge of other relevant software tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
