This appointment is for a full time Specialty Doctor who is interested in Psychaitry . The post holder shall have completed at least four years’ full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee in a relevant specialty; or shall have equivalent experience and competencies.
In collaboration with the supervising Consultant Psychiatrist and a multi-disciplinary inpatient team, you will provide an effective clinical service with responsibility for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness, and the proper functioning of the acute inpatient setting.
You will take a lead in the identification of cases for psychiatric assessment and intervention, and contribute to the subsequent formulation of care plans for those in need of specialist intervention.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate highly evolved clinical, management and leadership skills and has experience and expertise in Psychiatry. If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, this role could be for you!.
The post provides good opportunities for professional development in General Adults Psychiatry. There is a weekly (Thursday mornings during term) in house postgraduate programme available to all Trust doctors at which the post-holder will be expected to attend.
