PE Global Healthcare & Locum Express Garda Vetting
Garda Vetting Procedure – Updated Requirements
At PE Global Healthcare & Locum Express, ensuring the safety and protection of vulnerable individuals is a top priority. In line with our commitment to maintaining the highest standards in healthcare recruitment, all candidates applying for positions involving contact with children or vulnerable adults are required to undergo Garda Vetting.
This process is governed by the National Vetting Bureau (Children and Vulnerable Persons) Act 2012, which mandates that any individual working with or having access to vulnerable persons must be appropriately vetted before commencing employment or placement. This legislation plays a crucial role in safeguarding both service users and professionals by ensuring that thorough background checks are carried out.
As part of recent updates to the Garda Vetting process, from 14th July 2025, it is now a mandatory requirement that all candidates must be met in person for identity verification purposes. This step is essential to confirm the accuracy of the information provided and to uphold the integrity of the vetting procedure.
If you are in the process of registering with PE Global Healthcare or Locum Express, or are applying for a new healthcare role through our agency, please ensure you arrange an in-person verification appointment as soon as possible. Our team will not be able to proceed with your application until this step has been completed.
