The role:

PE Global is currently recruiting for a Document Controller to support a global Supply Chain project, on behalf of a leading pharmaceutical company based in Dublin. This is an initial 12-month contract role.

 

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Global Supply Chain Technical Process Writer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, reviewing, and maintaining comprehensive documentation for supply chain processes on a global scale. This role requires a deep understanding of supply chain operations, GxP principles, excellent writing skills, and the ability to translate complex processes into clear, concise, and user-friendly documents.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, write, and maintain detailed documentation for global supply chain processes, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, process maps, and training materials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain managers, process owners, and subject matter experts, to gather information and ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Review and update existing documentation to reflect changes in processes, systems, and regulations.
  • Create visual aids, such as flowcharts and diagrams, to enhance the clarity and usability of documents.
  • Manage document control processes, including version control, approvals, and distribution.
  • Conduct regular audits of supply chain documentation to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Provide training and support to supply chain staff on the use and interpretation of process documentation.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in supply chain management and documentation.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Technical Writing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supply chain management, process documentation, or technical writing.
  • Strong understanding of global supply chain processes and best practices.
  • Proficiency in using documentation tools and software, such as Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, and document management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCP).
  • Experience working in a global or multinational organization.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
