PE Global Healthcare are recruiting for agency Speech & Language Therapists in Meath.

Job Requirements – Senior Speech and Language Therapist (Children’s Sector)

Qualifications & Registration

  • A recognised degree or master’s qualification in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
  • CORU registration (or eligibility for registration) as a Speech and Language Therapist.
  • Membership of the Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists (IASLT) or equivalent professional body is desirable.
  • Postgraduate training or continuing professional development in paediatric speech and language therapy, developmental disorders, or communication interventions is an advantage.

Experience

  • A minimum of 3–5 years post-qualification experience as a Speech and Language Therapist, with substantial experience working with children and young people.
  • Demonstrated experience in assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for a range of paediatric communication and swallowing disorders (e.g., developmental language disorder, ASD, dyspraxia, stammering, selective mutism).
  • Experience working within multi-disciplinary or interdisciplinary teams (e.g., occupational therapists, psychologists, social workers, teachers, and parents).
  • Proven ability to supervise and mentor junior therapists, therapy assistants, or students.
  • Experience in case management, service planning, and quality improvement initiatives.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of child development, communication milestones, and evidence-based therapy approaches.
  • Familiarity with national and international frameworks such as the Progressing Disability Services (PDS) model.
  • Excellent assessment, analytical, and clinical reasoning skills.
  • Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate individualised therapy plans.
  • Competence in report writing, documentation, and use of electronic health record systems.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills for working with children, families, and professionals.
  • Capacity to manage a caseload efficiently, prioritise competing demands, and maintain professional standards.
