PE Global is currently recruiting for a Chemist II for a leading multi-national Medical Device client based in Galway
Role:
This is a 12 month contract position.
Responsibilities:
- Performs analytical testing on drugs and drug combination products with Liquid/Gas Chromatography, Elution, Spectroscopic and Wet Chemistry techniques.
- Responsible for Laboratory investigations ensuring timely disposition/closure.
- Responsible for continuous maintenance of systems in line with corresponding regulatory changes & product lifecycle revisions.
- Possess a complete understanding of relevant processes systems and policies and understanding of how they interact with department.
- Drives continuous improvement projects to reduce testing lead-times/cost savings.
- Works independently to plan and schedule activities to meet project timelines.
- Supports Training of new colleagues.
- Supports Internal and External Audit programs.
- Support Regulatory submissions.
Requirements:
- Minimum of Level 8 in Chemistry, Biology, Material Science, or related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years relevant laboratory experience.
- The candidate will have excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills that are results oriented.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to prioritize and execute on daily tasks.
- Ability to work and be effective with minimal supervision.
