PE Global is currently recruiting for a Facilities Project Engineer for a leading multi-national manufacturing client based in Stafford.
This is a 6 month contract position working fully on site in Stafford.
Working hours Monday – Thursday 6:45 am to 4:30 pm. Required some flexibility with weekends and out of hours work when required.
Pay rate is £22.06ph PAYE or £29.94ph Umbrella.
Duties of the role/Responsibilities
- Delivery of facility building projects ensuring deadlines, budget and quality are met.
- Delivery of facility building systems projects
- Report project status at key milestones to facility and business stakeholders.
- Responsible for supporting and contribution to safety targets, revenue costs, quality, performance.
- Develop clear project scopes, schedules, and cost estimates aligned with business and operational requirements.
- Ensure project documentation is complete (scope, drawings, permits, RAMS).
- Support procurement activities, including contractor selection and technical evaluations.
- Coordinate contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely execution.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Lead final inspections, snag lists, commissioning, and handover to operations.
Education/Experience
- Engineering, civils and construction industry experience is preferred.
- Experience in similar position with delivery of facility building projects.
- Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
- Understanding Risk and Safety requirements
- Knowledge of relevant Compliance requirements.
- Strong communication skills.
- IOSH Managing Safety certification is advantageous
- IPAF MEWP For Managers is advantageous
- Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and customers.
