Our client, a reputable Construction & Engineering firm in Dublin, is looking to recruit a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis. The role offers a very competitive salary, benefits and significant career progression.
The Role:
- Participate in month-end close processes and the preparation and management of financial statements, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheets, across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
- Ensured timely and accurate reconciliation of company balance sheets, including intercompany transactions.
- Maintain the integrity of bank reconciliations, managed payroll preparation, and monitored cash flow to support financial stability.
- Accountable for reconciling and reporting key Profit & Loss costs by business stream, with regular monthly reviews alongside budget holders.
- Drove continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes and strengthen internal controls.
- Supported the annual budgeting process through data preparation, analysis, and collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) with 3+ years PQE in a similar role
- The ability to interact and communicate effectively with management and other departments in the organisation will be important to the role.
- Strong commercial awareness and good business acumen.
- Ensure accurate completion and punctual submission of reports and information as requested, based on numerical analysis and other relevant methodologies.
- Build effective relationships within the business and with external parties as required
- Excellent communications skills, interacting confidently with others
- The ability to multi-task is critical to carrying out the role
