General Operator

PE Global is seeking General Operator who will be responsible for operating and maintaining an extrusion, granulation and/or palletiser machines, which are used in the recovery, shaping and forming plastic or rubber products. This includes monitoring the machine’s performance, making adjustments, and performing regular maintenance and repairs. The operator must also ensure the product meets quality standards and adhere to safety protocols.

Extruder Operator:

To safely and accurately operate an extrusion machine in a manufacturing environment to produce high-quality products in a timely and efficient manner.

The Extruder Operator is responsible for ensuring that the material is fed into the machine correctly and that the finished product meets the company’s specifications.

The Extruder Operator must also monitor the machine and make adjustments as needed to ensure optimal performance and product quality.

In addition, the Extruder Operator must maintain a clean and safe working environment and follow all safety procedures at all times.

Palletising Role:

Picking, packing, and palletizing products accurately and efficiently.

Loading and unloading goods from vehicles and cold storage units.

Carrying out quality checks and reporting any issues to supervisors.

Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

Following all health, safety, hygiene, and PPE procedures strictly.

Completing necessary paperwork and stock records.

Granulation Role:

The clean plastic is fed into the plastic granulator machine by a conveyor belt, which is the official granulation process for plastic.

The machine screw pushes the plastic into the heating zone, where it melts at high temperatures and is then extruded through the die.

The long strips of plastic go into a cooling tank to cool down and shape, and finally a cutter machine cuts the strips into granules.

Successful candidate will be responsible for the operating and output of granulation machinery.

Operator Duties

• Set up and operate extrusion machinery
• Maintain machinery and keep it running efficiently
• Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment
• Monitor the output of extruded materials and adjust settings to ensure quality
• Perform routine inspections and log results
• Ensure safety protocols are followed

Operator Skills

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Ability to operate machines
• Ability to follow safety protocols
• Ability to accurately measure and record data

Operator Requirements

• Ability to follow safety procedures
• Knowledge of processes
• Attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

• Detail-oriented
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills

Forklift license / experience would be a strong advantage. 

Immediately available and hourly rate is €17.50 per hour on days only.
