Locum Clinical Pharmacist – Dublin

PE Global Healthcare is currently recruiting for an experienced Locum Clinical Pharmacist to join a specialist healthcare service in Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated pharmacist to work within a specialist clinical setting, supporting the safe and effective use of medicines for patients receiving addiction and substance-use treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality clinical pharmacy services within the service.
• Review and optimise patients’ medication therapy.
• Support the safe and effective use of prescribed medicines, including controlled drugs where appropriate.
• Provide clinical advice and medication counselling to patients and healthcare professionals.
• Work collaboratively with doctors, nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Promote medicines safety and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate clinical and pharmacy records in line with professional and organisational requirements.

Requirements

• Registered Pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI).
• Previous hospital, clinical or community pharmacy experience.
• Experience in addiction services, mental health, substance-use treatment or a similar specialist setting would be an advantage.
• Strong clinical knowledge and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to delivering safe, patient-centred pharmaceutical care.
