Machine Operator (Manufacturing)

Location: Bangor, County Down

Pay Rate: £13.12 per hour (£13.41 with FLT licence)

Shift Pattern: 8-hour rotating shifts (days & evenings), Monday–Friday

Contract duration: 12 months

About the Role

PE Global are recruiting for a Machine Operator to join a leading science-based technology company based in their compounding facility in Bangor.

This role has been created to support increased production demand and will involve working as part of a small, collaborative team operating large-scale industrial machinery.

You will be responsible for producing high-quality adhesive-coated tapes used in automotive, aerospace, and industrial applications, following established procedures and production schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor industrial production machinery in line with standard operating procedures
  • Set up machines, load raw materials, and unload finished products
  • Follow production schedules and work effectively within a team environment
  • Maintain product quality standards and identify any issues or defects
  • Carry out basic data entry and use computer systems where required
  • Adhere strictly to all health and safety guidelines

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Experience operating production machinery
  • Valid FLT (Forklift Truck) licence (desirable for higher pay rate)
  • Good mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer skills and data entry ability
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
  • Flexible approach to shift work

Working Pattern

  • Rotating 8-hour shifts (day and evening shifts)
  • Monday to Friday
