Mechanical Project Manager – Data Centre Projects (Europe)

A leading data centre delivery partner, headquartered in Dublin and operating across Europe, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their growing team. They provide turnkey solutions covering design, construction, civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical services – right through to commissioning.

With multiple large-scale projects underway totalling over 500 MW of IT load, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering cutting-edge data centre projects.

The Role

As Mechanical Project Manager, you will oversee the full mechanical scope of data centre delivery projects. This includes managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and materials while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all mechanical works, ensuring alignment with project cost, schedule, and quality targets.

  • Track and manage milestone activities to avoid delays.

  • Review proposals, pricing, and scopes of work.

  • Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and in-house teams.

  • Plan daily site operations in coordination with package managers.

  • Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and resource levels.

  • Lead commercial meetings to capture and manage project variations.

  • Support project closeout, including handover documentation, safety, and QA files.

  • Promote a strong culture of health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance.

  • Implement company procedures and ensure effective change management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager, ideally on large-scale installation projects.

  • Strong background in mechanical design and build, preferably in data centre environments.

  • Excellent technical knowledge of mechanical systems.

  • Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple stakeholders in fast-paced environments.
