PE Global Healthcare is delighted to partner with a prestigious NHS Trust that is looking to recruit an experienced Specialty Doctor in Medicine(All Specialities)  to join its expanding and dynamic Acute Medicine team.

This is an excellent opportunity for doctors seeking a middle-grade Specialty Doctor position within a supportive department that has a strong commitment to education, training, and career progression. Successful candidates will receive comprehensive support to develop the competencies required for the Portfolio Pathway (CESR), enabling progression towards becoming a Consultant in Acute Medicine.

Key Responsibilities

• Work alongside Acute Medicine Registrars and Specialty Doctors to provide middle-grade cover for the Acute Medical Unit (AMU) and Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC).
• Provide senior clinical input within SDEC, working collaboratively with experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs) and Consultant Physicians.
• Support Consultants in the day-to-day management of the AMU, particularly patients on day two and beyond of their admission.
• Provide senior clinical decision-making, supervision, and guidance to junior doctors and nursing teams.
• Actively contribute to the department’s clinical governance, quality improvement, and in-house education programmes.

Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum 2 years of NHS experience in Acute or General Medicine.
• Full MRCP (UK) qualification is essential.
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise (or eligible to obtain).
