Social Work Team Leader – Adult Disability Services

PE Global Healthcare is delighted to recruit a Social Work Team Leader on behalf of a leading provider of person-centred services supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and complex support needs.

This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced Social Worker who is passionate about advocacy, safeguarding, community inclusion and supporting adults to achieve their personal goals and aspirations.

The Role

As Social Work Team Leader, you will provide professional leadership to a dedicated multidisciplinary team supporting adults with intellectual disabilities across residential, respite, day and community-based services. You will play a key role in promoting person-centred planning, safeguarding, positive risk-taking and ensuring individuals are supported to exercise choice, independence and self-determination.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and operational leadership to the social work service.
• Supervise, support and develop social work staff and students.
• Lead on complex case management, safeguarding and adult protection matters.
• Promote a rights-based, person-centred approach across all services.
• Work collaboratively with individuals, families, advocates and multidisciplinary colleagues.

Essential Requirements

• Recognised Social Work qualification.
• Current registration with CORU.
• Minimum three years’ post-qualification experience.
• Experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities, autism and/or complex support needs.
• Demonstrated leadership, supervision or senior social work experience.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable adults and disability services.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building and organisational skills.
• Full driving licence and access to transport desirable.
