PE Global Healthcare, in partnership with our client, is currently hiring permanent  full-time Staff Nursing roles across their Intellectual Disability Services for Galway City and County. 

Overview :

Our client provides a wide range of high quality community based services for people with an intellectual disability and autism throughout Galway City and County. Services provided are day services, residential, short break respite services, supported self-directed living programmes, outreach services, community supports, educational, rehabilitative training and multi-disciplinary supports. The ethos of service provision is underpinned by our Vision, Mission, Core Values and Strategic Plan, which is to enable people with an intellectual disability to reach their full potential, take their rightful place in society and realise their dreams and ambitions.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Provide for the nursing care of Service Users within the service.
• Responsibility for administrative tasks and on behalf of the client’s accident/incident reporting, log reports.
• Carry out the nursing component of Person Centred Plans (PCPs) with Service Users in the service.

Candidate Requirements :

The post holder reports directly to the Adult Day Services Manager.

The purpose of this job is to provide nursing care to Service Users attending the Day Service in line with the client’s strategic plan, ethos, vision, policies and procedures in accordance with the General Procedures Manuals, Operating Procedures and Work Instructions, and the client’s Safety Statement.  To work in a co-operative manner with all staff employed in the Day Services, ensuring Services Users needs and requirements are met.

Salary range between €31,830 to €52,011
