PE Global Healthcare is delighted to partner with one of Ireland’s leading providers of specialist Mental Health and Residential Services in the recruitment of a Senior or Staff Grade Psychologist based in Kildare for a fixed term position.

The Role

The successful Psychologist will be responsible for the provision of psychological services across the organisation’s Mental Health Services and wider business. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, recovery-focused care, ensuring that service users receive comprehensive assessment, formulation, diagnosis and evidence-based interventions tailored to their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, formulation and diagnosis.
  • Develop, implement, monitor and review individual treatment programmes.
  • Deliver a range of psychological assessments and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Facilitate individual therapy and counselling sessions.
  • Develop and oversee behaviour management and positive behaviour support plans.
  • Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality, recovery-focused services.
  • Provide psychological consultation, advice and support to service users, families and multidisciplinary colleagues.
  • Promote best practice while delivering services in line with the organisation’s values and person-centred approach.
  • Contribute to clinical governance, service development and continuous quality improvement.

Essential Requirements

  • A recognised postgraduate qualification in Clinical, Counselling or Educational Psychology.
  • Registration with the Psychological Society of Ireland (or eligibility for membership where applicable).
  • Validation of qualifications by the Department of Health (Ireland),  validation is essential for candidates whose qualifications were obtained outside Ireland.
  • Previous experience working within mental health, disability or related clinical services.
  • Excellent assessment, formulation and therapeutic intervention skills.
  • Strong communication, organisational and multidisciplinary team-working abilities.
  • A full, clean Irish driving licence is desirable.
