PE Global is currently recruiting for a Veterinary Technical Advisor for a leading multinational animal health client based in Hook, working 2-3 days in the office and the remaining from home.

This is an initial 12 months contract position.

The pay rate is between £19.23 and £25.64 per hour PAYE depending on experience.

Duties of the role/Responsibilities

  • To be the first line customer contact for all product technical enquiries received by phone, post and e-mail. Whilst providing exemplary service to all customers: veterinary teams, farmers and pet owners, they will submit, investigate and follow-up report or complaints
  • To resolve product complaints when possible, liaising with field veterinarians, quality and other relevant departments as required.
  • Utilise the global PV software to manage all PV cases in line with global procedures.
  • Train and support of other members of the technical team as well as the sales force.
  • Through comprehensive knowledge of the products and the needs of customers, they will provide advice and support to other business areas within the company, for example marketing and operations.
  • Along with technical consultants, collect and maintain the latest technical information on diseases and treatments in the market areas the company cover
  • Being available for ‘on call’ rota for urgent veterinarian inquiries approximately one week in eight.

Education/Experience

  • Veterinary degree and active registration with RCVS
  • Minimum two years experience in clinical practice strongly preferred although not essential
  • Excellent teamworking skills
  • Empathy and passion for veterinary medicine customers and their businesses.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret and impart technical/scientific knowledge at appropriate levels
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written and interpersonal
  • Strong sense of personal accountability
  • Flexible to learning new products and diseases over time
  • Computer literate
  • Some overnight travel / attendance at congresses and meetings may be required
  • English—written and verbal
