PE Global is recruiting for a Senior Process Development Engineer for our medical device client in Galway. This is an initial 12-month contract, fully onsite role.

As a Senior Process Development Engineer within the Product Design Engineering Team, you will be tasked with supporting the cross functional technical team and leading projects in all aspects of new product development engineering.

A Day in The Life Of:

· As an engineer you will actively participate in all areas of new product development including the following: Design, Technology development & advancement, Automation, Vendor management & Project management.

· You will use Design, Reliability & Manufacturability methodology (DRM), and 3-D drawing to develop best in class technologies, equipment, and processes for the manufacture of our new medical device product ranges.

· You will collaborate with cross functional teams to define, execute, and deliver on New Product Development requirements.

· You will support teams driving technology process innovation with emphasis on improving quality, technical rigor and developing state of the art automated and semi-automated systems.

· You will support process development, characterization, and validation activities to support new product introduction.

· You will utilize your new and existing skillsets in six sigma tools, project management and technology development to solve technical problems.

· You will compile, document, and present all learnings to project and functional teams e.g., Technical Reviews, Design Reviews, Project Dashboards.

· You will participate in functional initiatives that support the continuous improvement of the New Product Development organization

· Interface effectively and build relationships with team members, other staff and key technology and component suppliers, both locally and globally.

· Provide coaching/guidance to less experienced team members.

Key Skills & Experience

· Level 8 Degree, or higher in Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering or related discipline, with a minimum of 4 years relevant direct engineering experience within a medical device environment.

· Dynamic team player that can work effectively and proactively on cross- functional teams, and across organizational boundaries and take appropriate actions when problems occur.

· Knowledge of medical device processes with a good understanding of product and process design.

· Good communicator and fluent in English, with a high level of enthusiasm and motivation.
