Social Care Worker – Children’s Residential Services

As Tier 1 suppliers to the HSE, we are currently supporting Children’s Residential Services across the Ireland in recruiting Social Care Workers who are passionate about supporting young people in care.

This is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people by providing therapeutic, trauma-informed care in a safe and supportive residential environment.

About the Service

Children’s Residential Services provide safe, nurturing homes for young people who are unable to live with their families. The focus is on promoting stability, resilience, and long-term wellbeing through structured support, therapeutic care, and a person-centred approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the physical, emotional, and social development of young people in care

  • Implement individual care plans in line with Tusla and HIQA standards

  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver therapeutic care

  • Support young people in building life skills, relationships, and engagement with education or training

  • Maintain accurate and confidential records, reports, and incident documentation

  • Participate in supervision, training, and reflective practice

Requirements

  • QQI Level 7 or Level 8 Degree in Social Care or a related discipline

  • CORU registration, or eligibility / in the process of registering

  • Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Eligible to work in Ireland (Stamp 1G, Stamp 2 and Stamp 4 accepted)

  • Full, clean manual driving licence – essential
