Our client, a reputable family owned business based in Cork, is looking to recruit an Accounts Payable Administrator to support the finance function of the company. This is a permanent role that offers a competitive salary, benefits and a hybrid working option.
The Role:
- Invoice Processing & Compliance:
Review and verify incoming invoices for goods and services, ensuring accuracy, proper authorisation, and compliance with company financial policies and procedures. - Accounts Payable Management:
Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable records, including logging, tracking, and filing of invoices (both digital and physical formats). - Reconciliations:
Reconcile processed transactions by verifying entries and comparing system-generated reports to actual balances. - Expense Allocation:
Allocate expenses accurately to appropriate accounts and cost centres by analyzing invoice and expense reports and recording journal entries. - Vendor Payments:
Schedule and prepare payment runs, ensuring timely payments to vendors. Resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders, invoices, or payments. - Petty Cash Disbursement:
Manage petty cash by recording transactions and verifying supporting documentation. - Confidentiality:
Safeguard company financial information by adhering to strict confidentiality standards. - Continuous Learning:
Stay updated on relevant financial practices and policies by participating in training and educational opportunities. - Team Contribution:
Support the finance department’s goals by taking ownership of tasks, accepting new challenges, and proactively seeking opportunities to improve processes and add value.
Requirements:
- 5 Years experience in an Accounts Payable role
- Strong Excel and SAP Business one experience
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- String communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to meet strict deadlines in a timely and efficient manner
