Summary:  Reporting to the Global Payroll Manager, in concert with other team members, responsible for delivering payroll using computerised HCM and Payroll systems running typically more than one payroll. Will ensure that the standards of accuracy and the timing requirements of the payroll(s) are met.

Duties:

  • Identifying and delivering process improvement, including where appropriate, automation using currently available automation tools
  • Ensuring adherence to statutory reporting requirements
  • Liaising with senior managers in relation to the impact on the payroll function of HR policies and procedures
  • Coordinating, together with other team members, workloads to cope with peak processing requirements
  • Ensuring compliance with Processes and Legislation and works to minimise financial loss for the business through effective and timely processing
  • Maintaining Payroll Accuracy through execution of effective payroll controls and in line with agreed Key performance Indicators
  • Providing Support and Input on Payroll Related Projects
  • Assisting with audits and finance queries
  • Maintaining, updating and helping create relevant Payroll policies, procedures, forms and knowledge articles as and when required
  • Minimising loss from the business by enacting timely processing of leavers and payments

 

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in hands on payroll associated duties
  • Strong understanding of insurance and taxation schemes
  • Process improvement mindset
  • Experience working in a large organization
  • Proficiency in payroll processing software (e.g. ADP, Workday)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and employees
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

 

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Educated to degree level
  • Experience operating across multiple countries
  • Professional finance or payroll qualification
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other payroll-related tools
  • Experience with utilising automation tools, AI or machine learning
