PE Global Healthcare is currently recruiting for an experienced Clinical Specialist Podiatrist on behalf of a leading healthcare service in Wicklow.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Podiatrist to join a multidisciplinary team and provide high-quality, evidence-based podiatry services to patients across the community.

The Role

As a Clinical Specialist Podiatrist, you will play a key role in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of patients with a range of podiatric and lower-limb conditions. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the multidisciplinary team to ensure patients receive safe, effective and person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist podiatry assessment, diagnosis and treatment to patients with a range of complex lower-limb and foot conditions.

  • Develop and implement individualised treatment and management plans.

  • Provide specialist advice and clinical expertise to patients, families and other healthcare professionals.

  • Manage patients with high-risk foot conditions, including those associated with diabetes and other long-term conditions.

  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team across community and healthcare settings.

  • Promote preventative care, patient education and self-management.

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with professional and organisational requirements.

  • Participate in service development, clinical governance, audit and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Support and contribute to the development of podiatry services within the wider multidisciplinary team.

  • Provide clinical guidance and support to colleagues where appropriate.

  • Ensure all practice is delivered in accordance with professional standards, HSE policies and relevant legislation.

Requirements

  • BSc/MSc in Podiatry or an equivalent recognised qualification.

  • Registration with CORU as a Podiatrist.

  • Significant post-qualification clinical experience.

  • Experience managing complex/high-risk foot presentations is highly desirable.

  • Excellent clinical assessment, communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team.

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.

  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.

  • Eligibility to work in Ireland.
