PE Global Healthcare in partnership with our client, a leading service provider of specialist residential and respite services for adults and children who have an intellectual disability, autism or acquired brain injury are currently recruiting Community Nurses / Registered Intellectual Disability Nurses (RNID) to cover services in the areas of Kildare, Wicklow, Cork, and Louth 

Duties and Responsibilities :

Under the direction of the Unit Manager/designated person, the staff nurse will be responsible for the following, ensuring privacy, dignity and respect of the resident at all times.

 

(Full-Time & Part-Time Contracts)

The successful candidate requires:

  • RGN/RNMH/RNID qualifications or other suitable nursing qualifications, and to be a Community Nurse on the current register as maintained by An Bord Altranais.
  • Have a strong interest and /or experience in working with children and young adults with an intellectual disability and their families.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, interpersonal, organisational, and initiative skills.
  • Excellent understanding of Person-Centred Planning, Safeguarding, Risk Management, and Positive Behaviour Support for Children’s Rights.
  • Have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of National Standards for Residential Services for Children and Adults with Disabilities and relevant legislation pertinent to the support of children.
  • Full Driving Licence and Transport is required for this role.
